Start Driver Education Online with John Swett High School

Students near John Swett High School can begin with online driver education that fits around homework, activities, and family schedules. The course helps students study California traffic laws, road signs, and permit-test topics before in-car training. Families can use the course as a steady foundation for the next licensing steps, from permit preparation through in-car instruction. Students can use the extra study time to connect permit-test questions with everyday driving situations, including intersections, lane use, sharing the road, and defensive driving choices.

Classroom Learning

Classroom learning can be a helpful option for students who want more structure than a self-paced course. Availability is limited, so students should confirm the current session schedule before planning around it. Students who like guided discussion may find a classroom session helpful for working through important rules and safety topics. A regular class meeting can also help students keep their permit preparation moving forward while they balance schoolwork and other responsibilities.

Behind-The-Wheel Training

Behind-the-wheel training helps John Swett High School students apply what they studied online or in class. In-car lessons give students guided practice with traffic awareness, smooth control, and safer decision making. Students receive practical coaching on the skills they need most, with time to ask questions and improve their confidence behind the wheel. Practice is built around the student's current level, allowing time to strengthen observation, communication with other drivers, and safe responses to changing road conditions. The emphasis remains on safe habits that continue after the DMV test, including observation, space management, communication, and thoughtful responses to other road users.

DMV Package

We also have a great package that includes a little extra for each student who chooses to use this service. If the DMV package is chosen, we handle scheduling with the DMV for the drivers test. We also will pick up and drop off the student before and after the license test. Even more, we will let the student use our car, the same car we’ve been training in, for their license test. This is just our way of showing you that we are here from beginning to end. If there are any questions or concerns you can contact us at 714-895-3989
