West Shores High School students can use the online course to work through required driver education topics on a schedule that works for them. It is designed to help students understand road rules before practicing in real traffic. Families can use the course as a steady foundation for the next licensing steps, from permit preparation through in-car instruction. This additional preparation helps students move into behind-the-wheel instruction with better context for signs, right-of-way, speed management, and safe driving decisions.

When offered, classroom learning gives students another way to complete driver education alongside online course options. A regular class meeting can also help students keep their permit preparation moving forward while they balance schoolwork and other responsibilities.

Behind-The-Wheel Training

After a permit is issued, West Shores High School students can schedule behind-the-wheel instruction with a certified trainer. Lessons can cover vehicle control, observation, turns, lane changes, parking, and DMV road-test preparation. Students receive practical coaching on the skills they need most, with time to ask questions and improve their confidence behind the wheel. DMV Package

We also have a great package that includes a little extra for each student who chooses to use this service. If the DMV package is chosen, we handle scheduling with the DMV for the drivers test. We also will pick up and drop off the student before and after the license test. Even more, we will let the student use our car, the same car we’ve been training in, for their license test.
